The Joint Admission Matriculation Board has established a Central Admission Processing System that will allow transparency in the admission process in Nigeria. In addition, they have opened a market, where tertiary institutions can go to source for students who have met their signs of disruption. As a result, it will allow students to have a successful admission. Let’s dive deep I go into this topic.

Joint Admissions Maturity Board

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new identification system on its website. This system aims to ensure that users have access to the site only using their registered username and password. The new login system will also help improve security on the JAMB website.

Users who do not have a registered username and password will not be able to access any of the features of the website, including application submission or access to the applicant’s data. Users who have forgotten their username or password can easily reset them by clicking “Have you forgotten your username?” below and entering their registration number.

Benefits of using the CAPS System

  • More organized admission process:

The centralized admissions processing system eliminates the need to submit applications for admissions individually to different colleges. This saves students time and money, as they can run their applications to a single point of contact. What’s more, the system also allows for faster notification of admissions decisions, which is useful for those eager to make informed decisions about their college choices.

  • Reduced stress and anxiety:

Many students feel overwhelmed by the admissions process and end up feeling stressed and worried. With a centralized admissions processing system in place, applicants no longer have to worry about multiple submissions or tracking different admissions officers. This can save them a lot of time and energy, which can be devoted to other things like academics or extra-time activities.

  • More accurate information:

This is because admissions decisions are made centrally and applicants receive accurate and up-to-date information about all the colleges they are applying for. This helps them make informed choices about their future education options and ensures they have the best possible chance of being accepted into a desired school.

  • Increased efficiency:

A centralized system of admission processing leads to increased efficiency in terms of how applications are processed and notifications are sent. Colleges receive an automatic notification whenever an applicant has applied to the system, which minimizes time lost on the part of college staff. Furthermore, this prevents any errors from occurring due to outdated or incompetent application forms that would otherwise delay

Application to The Common Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB)

Step 1: Select the desired type of applicant from the list on the left side of the screen.

Step 2: Click on “Shared Admissions” from the menu bar at the top of the page.

How does the Central Admission Processing System work?

To apply to a college or university, students must first create an account in CAPS. After creating an account, students will need to provide basic information about themselves, including name, date of birth, email address, and phone number. Students can also add additional information about themselves, such as their interests and academic achievements.

Once students have created an account at CAPS, they can start applying to colleges and universities. Application materials required for most colleges and universities include transcripts from all high school classes (including advanced placement courses/international degrees), scores from standardized tests (such as SAT or ACT), letters of recommendation, and a CV/CV.

Colleges and universities use CAPS to analyze applicant application materials and determine which applicants are qualified to attend their institution. Students admitted are then notified by email of their admission decision.

How to use the CAPS system?

To use caps, you will need to create a user account and password. Once you have registered for an account, you can use CAPS by clicking on the “Login” link in the upper right corner of the main page.

Once logged in, you will be able to view your account information, including username and password. You can also view your course records and add/drop courses online through CAPS.
